Jessica (ジェシカ, Jeshika?) is a supporting character in Trials of Mana. She is the daughter of Lord Flamekhan by his second wife, making her the younger sister of Eagle, the half-sister of Falcon, and the aunt of Hawkeye.
Biography
Trials of Mana
Jessica operates from behind the scenes, greeting the Nevarlan thieves as they return from their mission to Sirhtan. It is not known at the time when or how she became Hawkeye's love interest, or whether the two are blood relatives. What is known is that Jessica has misgivings about recent events, with her father meeting in secret with "Isabella" and noticing a stark change in him since the day the mysterious woman arrived. But when Hawkeye is forced to slay her brother, she visits him in the fortress prison in an attempt to get answers as to why events are unfolding as they are. Jessica was also taken hostage by Belladonna and a cursed necklace known as the Choker of Death was placed on her. If Hawkeye was ever to tell Jessica the truth of what happened, or if he was to attack Belladonna, the curse would kill her. Hawkeye would have to find a way to break the curse so that Jessica would not come to harm. Niccolo, a fellow thief, advised Hawkeye to seek help from the Priest of Light.
Jessica remains held by Belladonna as a possible sacrifice for the Firestone until her henchmen Bil and Ben twice fail to stop the heroes from interfering with the latter's plans, at which point they are offered as the sacrifice instead, leaving a drained Jessica behind and the Choker of Death nowhere to be found. The curse broken, Jessica is dropped off in the village of Diin to recuperate.
